Queen Latifah Talks Female Rap Beefs: 'Let Everybody Say What They Want'

Queen Latifah wants all female rappers to come together and be heard by the masses. During an interview with Hip Hollywood, the MC turned actress spoke about this.

Latifah was promoting her new movie, Girls Trip. So, one of her co-stars Jada Pinkett Smith was at the interview, too. When the Hip Hollywood reporter said that she doesn't see much U.N.I.T.Y. (get it?) with female rappers, Latifah responded.

“I don’t think there’s no unity, just because a couple of rappers are not feeling each other,” she said, most likely speaking about Remy Ma and Nicki Minaj's beef.  “It can be a competitive sport almost but I think at the end of the day we all need to move forward. I want to hear female rappers everywhere, so we need to be clicking up and we need to be supporting whose ever out.”

The star continued: “Obviously you can’t just say whatever and do whatever without there being repercussions. There are consequences to actions and we see that. But at the end of the day the most important thing is let everybody say what they want to say just play the damn record.” Pinkett Smith simply nodded with approval for all of these words.

And there you have it. The Queen has spoken! Watch Latifah speak the realness here.
